I thank you;
You thank me for thanking you;
I thank you for thanking me for thanking you;
You hasten to bid me adieu;
And leave me with thoughts a few;
That perhaps I should have thanked you
for the warm adieu;
Or perhaps I should have uttered 'I love you'
